From engineers and public information specialists to typists, writers, and chemists, skilled, seasoned professionals age 55 and older may qualify for positions with the U.S. Environmental protection agency (EPA) under the Senior Environmental Employment (SEE) Program.
NCBA is one of six national organizations selected toad minister the SEE Program in accordance with the Environmental Programs Assistance Act of 1984, which authorized grants for certain non-profit organizations to place people, age 55 and over, in environmental support assignments that support, not displace, civil servant positions.
NCBA ensures that applicants are qualified and available for the positions.
NCBA/SEE Enrollees are assigned to the EPA headquarters in Washington, DC, and in EPA Regional Offices and Environmental Laboratories in the Research Triangle Park, NC; Ada, OK; GulfBreeze, FL; and Athens, GA.
Positions in the SEE program are available in four levels, determined by the job description and skills required.
Enrollees enjoy a variety of benefits, including health and dental insurance; sick and annual leave; and 11 paid holidays each year.
